Scholarships
Best Buy- this scholarship is awarded
to DECA members who are also Best Buy associates and participate in Operation
Holiday Help. The scholarship is based on work performance, Operation
Holiday Help involvment, DECA activities, leadership and grades. The application
is to be sent automatically to DECA and does not have to go to the state
advisor.
Chick-fil-A- this scholarship is awarded to DECA members
who are also Chick-fil-A associates. The scholarship is based on work
performance, DECA involvement, leadership and grades. The application
is to be sent automatically to DECA and does not have to go to the state
advisor.
Food Marketing Institute- awarded to National members
who have supermarket industry experinence, DECA activities, leadership
and grades. Student associate must be a minority and/or a female intending
to pursue a career in marketing, business or marketing. The application
is to be sent automatically to DECA and does not have to go to the state
advisor.
Harry Applegate- scholarship that corporate supporters
contribute to but actually awarded in the company's name. Scholarship
is based on DECA involvement, leadership ability, community service and
grades. Members must complete the for'm along with all supporting documents
and send it to the state advisor. Each state has their own deadline. The
amount of applications that are sent to DECA from the state advisor is
based on an allocation system. The scholarship allocations are sent along
with the competetive event allocations.
Kauffman Center- this scholarship is for teachers who
want to teach entrepreneurship in the classroom or to enhance their entrepreneurisl
skills. The application is to be sent automatically to DECA and does not
have to go to the state advisor.
Kmart- this scholarship is awarded to DECA members who are also Kmart
associates. The scholarship is based on work performance, DECA involvement,
leadership and grades. The application is to be sent automatically to
DECA and does not have to go to the state advisor.
Marriot- awarded to DECA students who
can show evidece of DECA activities, grades, leadership ability and hospitality
experienence or interest. The application is to be sent automatically
to DECA and does not have to go to the state advisor.
NAPA- this scholarship is awarded to DECA members who
are NAPA associates. The scholarship is based on work performance, DECA
involvemet, leadership and grades. The application is to be sent automatically
to DECA and does not have to go to the state advisor.
Otis Spunkmeyer Student- awarded to DECA members who can show evidence
of community service involement, DECA participation, leadership ability
and grades. The application is to be sent automatically to DECA and does
not have to go to the state advisor.
Otis Spunkmeyer Teacher- awarded to DECA teachers/advisors
who can show evidence of DECA activities, community service involement
and leadership ability. This scholarship can be used to further their
education for careers in marketing, management or marketing education.
Can also be used to reimburse fees of atendance at an annual conference,
such as ACTE or Conclave, that provides continuing education credits in
their field. The application is to be sent automatically to DECA and does
not have to go to the state advisor.
Publix- this scholarship is awarded to DECA members who
are Publix associates. The scholarship is based on work performance, DECA

Safeway- this scholarship is awarded to DECA members
who are Safeway associates. The scholarship is based on work performance,

are Tricon employees (KFC, PIzza Hut or Taco Bell). The scholarship is

Winn-Dixie- this scholarship is awarded to DECA members
who are also Winn-Dixie associates. Winn-Dixie basis the scholarship on
